When and Where Did the Navajo Code Talkers Use this Code?
The Navajo used their code in WWII. The elite team of talkers was assembled in 1942. It contained 29 talkers. The Navajo code talkers ranged from age 15-35. Most of the enlistees were just boys. Originally, 35 men had enlisted. They only had about two months to learn how to work the radios until they had to go into battle. To operate the radios, they had to be held steadily. With enemy fire, that could not be easy.
